Michelisz: Lamborghini is a real speciality

Norbert Michelisz will make his racing return to the Hungaroring behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Super Trofeo as a VIP guest driver of the world's fastest one-make series. The Hungarian driver expects the weekend to be a remarkable event for him. Interview inside.
Question: This weekend you will be racing in the field of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. What are your feelings before the race?
Norbert Michelisz: Honestly, I must admit that my fingers are itching. I have always been eager to drive a car as fast as this one. This is a real speciality, you are not given the chance to drive a car like this even on the streets on the racetracks! There is no pressure on me ahead the weekend, I expect it to work out well and I will enjoy it from the very first moment until the end.
Q: A few years ago you drove a Lamborghini, albeit not a real one. Is it a dream come true?
N. M.: In the PC game called GTR the Murciélago was one of the most drivable and enjoyable car but it was real wheel drive. I have always loved these kinds of cars. The GTR was the second serious simulator that I played, I stuck with it for a long time. In the simulations I really enjoyed these type of cars around 5-600 horse power, I think it will be even more interesting in real life with the all-wheel drive.
Q: You are used to the front wheel drive car in terms of touring cars. What do you expect from the all wheel drive Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo?
N. M.: It is a bit fortunate that I'm not jumping right into a rear wheel drive car, there will be a slight transition, it will probably help me a bit. Time wouldn't be enough to learn a real wheel driven car properly. I think it is a sign for the drivers who do not know the car that it is all wheel drive. I don't have exact details but it will be a huge feeling to drive this car.
Q: Since last year you are racing mostly on foreign circuits but previously you were driving a lot on the Hungaroring. What does the home soil mean to you?
N. M.: The rhythm of the Hungaroring is quite silly, I would say it has got no real rhythm. The track knowledge won't be an issue at all, more or less I can already measure which will be the ideal line and the braking points with this powerful car as well. I'm not saying that the available 40 minutes will be enough but it is better to drive on the Hungaroring than anywhere else, no question about that.
Q: Regarding your career, how do you see this weekend?
N. M.: Basically I'm not imagining my future in this type of racing. Anything can happen but in the near future I see the continuation in the sprint races. For this reason I will try to store every moment of this weekend. I can't wait for it.
