Zengő-Dension Team's Gábor Wéber managed to outpace his main title rival Michael Rossi and took his 3rd pole position of the 2010 SEAT Leon EuroCup. Wéber will start Race 1 in Oschersleben from the 1st spot as team mate Imre Birizdó took 5th and shone on qualifying.
The battle for the 2010 SEAT Leon EuroCup title gets KIÉLEZETT as Gábor Wéber took pole position for tomorrow's Race 1 in Oschersleben thanks to his 1:37.922 laptime which was faster than Michael Rossi's effort by 0.147 seconds.
Wéber and Rossi therefore will begin Race 1 alongside each other in their bid to reduce or extend the gap between the first two places ahead the final installment of the season in two weeks time in Valencia. However we are in Oschersleben at the moment and this is where both drivers need decent results before the final round.
The Hungarian driver posted his fastest laptime over his last timed run, he lost only a little bit of a time in Sector 1 but still managed to outpace Rossi who is a great threat for the race on Saturday as his optimal laptime would have been enough for the pole positon.
This time the French driver couldn't make it work but Wéber still should count with him as they are both capable to give a similar performance which will make it difficult to overtake especially in such a difficult circuit. Start will be crucial, it is likely that the driver who will lead at the end of Lap 1 will win the race as well.
We shouldn't forget Eoin Murray either who is only 9th on the grid but it is sure that the Irish driver will attack to take 8th and pole for Race 2 in Germany. This makes the complex picture even more disciplined.

Three cars in the first three row
Every of the first three rows will feature cars of Zengő-Dension Team as Duarte Félix da Costa managed to take 4th on the grid behind Alexey Dudukalo but ahead Imre Birizdó who served the surprise of the weekend.
Birizdó has been the part of the team since the beginning of the 2010 season and despite showing the signs of progress he has often struggled to match the pace of the frontrunners. Today he was running third towards the end of the session until Dudukalo and da Costa got ahead of him but 5th on the grid is still a great achievement for the youngster.
The weekend is not shaping the way Andrea Larini would hope as the Italian driver - who took 2nd and 3rd a year ago on the races - was 0.902 seconds off the pace which meant that he will start from only 11th on the grid which will make his life hard tomorrow.
Race 1 will bring important developments in terms of the state of the championship which is a reason to consider it to be a very important day of the year when pressure will get high on almost every segment of the grid.
